I Love my big truck!

Ricky Henry, our local mechanic had this Tonka Truck when he was a little boy. He is now in his 40's. His wife had a yard sale and told him it was time to get rid of some of his childhood toys. (silly woman) but anyway, I (Mary E.)bought it for Jake. This truck is in mint condition, and definitely worth many dollars more than what I paid for it. If Jake keeps it as long as Ricky did, and keeps it in as good shape as Ricky did, then he will have a real Tonka Treasure someday!

Emery the little Lady Bug, (last Halloween.) Too young to trick or treat, but she was a cutie in her costume. This year, she was even cuter as Raggedy Ann, and we wanted so bad to get a picture of her and Jake together, but getting them to stand still posed a problem. Emery went to Renee's for trick or treat and didn't want to leave. Her Dad had to carry her home crying (which caused a few of her freckles to run)but she finally settled down and got to go trick or treating at church and Mike's boss's house.

Last year Jake was a cute little Lion, roaring his way around the yard. This year he would have been really frightful as a green dragon, but he refused to put on the head to his costume. Here he came wagging his little green tail across the street. Too cute to be scary Jake!

Happy Birthday to Me....(Giggy)

Today is my birthday. Mamaw called me as soon as I got up to tell me Happy Birthday! She then took me out to breakfast for country ham, buscuits and gravy. I really liked the gift from her too, one of those grabber tools that you can pick up things with without having to bend over. I think she's trying to tell me that I am getting OLD! ha ha. My boys and families are coming this afternoon so today will continue to be a good good day. Thanks Renee for all you do, and for always being such a good friend and neighbor. (Yes, I'm bragging on you on the Grandma's bragging page)Thanks also for the card and grocery money. As always, you do TOO MUCH for me. Aw heck, I reckin' I lub ya!

Cheyenne's Cheernastics team was in competition Saturday in Lexington. As usual, they won first place. Go Cheyenne Go!

It's been a long two weeks!

"Our prayers have been answered!"

Jake and Emery finally got to visit after being kept apart for two weeks. Jake has been sick, running a fever and runny nose. Mamaw caught it too, so trying to keep all the sniffles across the street, they didn't get to play together until today.
Emery was so excited to see both Mamaw and Jake.
