Alexis and Gabriel had lots of fun playing in the 8 inches of snow that fell over the week end. It seems their Dad enjoyed it too! I suppose frozen fingers and faces are not too noticeable zipping down the hill or making snow angels. I'll bet they had plenty hot chocolate later to warm up! Renee's new Grand-baby that is! Kassidy Nicole made her grand entrance around 11:35 Monday night the 25th. Mom Jessica and new daughter are doing just fine. Jake came over and played with Emery yesterday morning, and I asked him if he was excited about having a new baby sister, but he wouldn't answer me. I think he was just too busy playing and didn't want to be bothered at the moment. Renee now has two granddaughters and one grandson, the same as I do. I'm sure we will have lots to brag about with this many between us!
Emery had fun her first time on skates Saturday. Her Dad said she didn't fall down. As quick as she is to learn EVERYTHING, I figure after a few times at the rink she will be a pro at it! Here at home she has a toy xylophone that has wheels on it, and she rides it like a skateboard, so she does have very good balance. Yep her great-grandpa "Turkey Foot" Muncie would be proud as he was a Roller Skating Champion in his younger days, winning competitions in Chicago and Washington DC. He had a skating partner and according to the tales he told me, they were a force to be reckoned with. (But then again, my Dad was also a little famous for his tall tales!)
To David and Rhonda, You sure have a good looking bunch of kiddos! (Yep, you'all made my grandma brag page again) Left to right.... Rhonda, "Hot John", Emily, David, Whitney, and my God-granddaughter Ashley!
My sweet friends Kent and Kathy Ellis have a new addition to their family. Presley Adair arrived on her Dad's birthday Jan. 4th, weighing in at 8lb. 3oz. She was scheduled to be born on Jan. 8th but got here just in time to be the best birthday present that Kathy could have surprised Kent with! Another little one for "Giggy" to love and brag about!
Emery has played for over an hour today on the couch with her menagerie of stuffed animals. She was saying that "Big Bear" was the daddy, she was the mommie, and "Doink-Doink" was their baby. Their puppy's name is "Nobody". (She named all these critters herself as she received them, and has never called them by any other name than the original one she gave them.) She was having some very interesting conversations with them.
We are proud of our grandbabies and want everyone to know it! They are the highlights of our life! We also like to brag about friends grandbabies and family.
