A Cool Treat On A Hot Day!

Jake and Emery really enjoyed the "new" ice cream on a stick that I bought this past week end. I tried one too, and yummy!

Move over Jake and Emery!

Renee is going to be grandma again, (in February) so Jake will be getting a new little sister, (and Emery a new playmate.) Her new grandbaby's name will be Cassidy Nichole. (Jake and Emery's new name will be JEALOUS!) Jake is so crazy about his Mamaw he may not want to share her, and Emery always wants her "undivided" attention when she is around. "So Renee, you are going to have your hands (as well as your lap) plumb full!

"Cowgirl" for the day!

Emery's Mom and Dad took her to visit a friends farm Saturday, and she really enjoyed playing in the cornfield and riding the pony. I'm surprised that she didn't try riding it standing up!

The Flu Bug Hits ~

Alexis has been out of school all week with the flu. She tested positive for the "A" type, which is the type for the H1N1, but as of yesterday when I talked to her Mom, they had not received verification that it was that one. She is feeling better now, no more fever and will be going back to school on Monday. Thankfully, Gabe or her Mom and Dad haven't come down with it. "Giggy loves you sweet girl, and I'm happy you are feeling much better!"
***Alexis's test came back positive for the H1N1 Swine flu, but she is fine now and back to school last week. Thankfully she never went to school sick, so no one caught it from her.

Gabe's New Hair Cut!

Gabriel had been begging to get a Mohawk for a long time, so his Mom and Dad let him get one this time. I think it is kind of cute on him, but hopefully it is just a phase, and he won't want to keep it this way! I liked it when he had his hair blue for a soccer game. "So Gabe, your giggy thinks you are a doll no matter how you wear your hair!"

Ain't Love Grand!

Or at least it is worth going to an awful lot of trouble to get ready for it! This morning when Emery found out that she would get to play with Jake for awhile, she wanted to hurry and get dressed. She said she wanted to look cute for Jake! I had a really cute outfit that I intended to put on her, but no, she didn't want that one on, so I let her tell me what she wanted to wear. She chose her UK Wildcat Cheerleading uniform. OK, that's cute too, (but she should have stopped there!) She also wanted to wear her Elmo sweatshirt! Well....I'm thinking if she's happy, then I'm happy! Even stopping there would not have been too outrageous, but I had to laugh out loud when she insisted on putting on a pair of Christmas socks, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, whose nose lights up and blinks when she walked! (Now there's a little gal after my own heart!) Perhaps Emery has been around me and Renee to long, going for comfort and what we like wearing versus style or the latest fashion

We'll never know if Jake thought she was cute or not, because she pulled off the Elmo jacket and Rudolph socks before he got here. After playing at my house for a little bit, they went to Renee's for lunch and she made this picture. She told me that when Emery attempted to give Jake a hug, he said; "Now wait a minute Emmie, just ONE!"

Railroad Days Parade

Jake and his Dad really enjoyed the parade Saturday, especially all the candy that was thrown to the kids in the crowd. Emery went with her Dad too, and came back home with pockets full of candy. A reporter from the Danville Advocate spotted Jake and liked the shirt he was wearing,(it says: "I get my cuteness from my Dad!" This photo was in the Sunday paper. So yes Jake, you get a little bit of "cuteness" from your Dad, but the most of it comes from your Mamaw!!
